Wondering if anyone simulated or measured rotationsl magnetic field nonuniformity, including multiple pole pairs using phase shift?

I don't know of anyone who has simulated or measured the magnetic field.  Lots of people do motor current analysis though.  Maybe you can infer the necessary info from looking at the current and voltage which are proportional to force and velocity respectively?

Noncontact probes used for orbits got me thinking.  The magnet can have nonuniform magnitude and unequal arc lengths.  If one used analog hall device 90 deg apart what can we expect to see in frequency domain?  You have a good point about current signature.   I recently used three phase stator to measure induced emf.  So now I am looking at winding variation and magnet variation!

All of that electrical engineering stuff makes my head hurt
